Where is Fall??

Today's temperature tied for the 1959 record high of 87 degrees, with a "Feels Like" heat index temperature of 107 degrees.

The humidity is horrid and all of our windows have been dripping like this for days.  And, tomorrow is no better - another triple digit heat index is expected.

When, oh when, will Fall stop teasing us with short bursts of occasional cool air, and actually show her face down south?

  1. I can't imagine that heat and humidity in October! It was in the sixties here today, not bad but the WIND was terrible!!!

  2. Gosh, that brings back memories. BAD ones! The dripping windows, I had blissfully blotted that out of my mind! And our CONCRETE would sweat -- big beads of clammy water would stand out on them...And also, watching the "cold fronts" stall right above Natchez and refuse to come any farther south...wah...

  3. No kidding Bunny - I so want some fall temps and for this humidity to leave already for pete's sake, at least for a few months.

Sorry Penniwig for bringing back old not so great memories, yikes!

  5. Mary - thanks so much for coming over to visit my blog! I'm laughing at your humidity down there since it's already cold and rainy here in the Pacific Northwest. My ex is from Columbia, MS, and I remember plenty of dripping hot days when it should have been fall or winter or spring!
