And the Winners Are...

Well y'all are some smart cookies for sure because you guessed this one right away!!

It's a squash alrighty, but a very WEIRD one in my opinion. As you see, the rest of the ones I've picked are pretty normal, but this one, well, this one kinda freaked me out so much that I finally just picked the thing! It was the first squash that started growing in my garden. There is one more in there that looks like this but the rest appear to be regular old normal crookneck summer squash. I've never seen one like this!

I drew names the old fashioned way since there weren't too many of y'all. I'm not crazy about using random.org because if you entered a couple of times right in a row that means your numbers are all grouped together too. I understand if you have tens of thousands of entries it makes more sense to use a random number generator, but since I'm a itty bitty blog, I think I'll stick with old fashioned. So I printed your submissions, cut them into strips, folded 'em and swooshed 'em around in a basket, drawing out three names.

REMEMBER - YOU MUST CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE A WINNER!

Send an email to mynew30{at}gmail{dot}com with your name, mailing address and let me know if you want the Best of the Best from Mississippi cookbook. There are currently only 4 left so hurry! If you prefer another state, just give me 3 states in the order you prefer, just in case your 1st preference is out of stock and I'll do my best.

{Drumroll....} And the winners are...

Loved what you said about waiting to water plants. Happens every time! Speaking of plants, I'm going to say squash, but my very first thought was taste buds! Yuck! I collect cookbooks, so any state would be fine with me. Thanks!

Congratulations!!! You have 48 hours from this post to contact me or you forfeit the prize, so send me an email real quick.

Thanks for stopping by and entering y'all - back soon!! Have a fantastic fun weekend!!!!

  2. Congrats to the winners.
I have crookneck squash growing in my garden, can't wait to harvest. Here in Colorado, it takes a while, but well worth the wait. I love to slice it and fry like okra. Deeelish!

  6. How awesome! I'm good with any state. I have sent you an email. I didn't realize I had even won until this morning as we have been in Idaho at my niece's wedding. I love, love cookbooks and I really like summer squash. I put it in everything from soup to shredded in cookies (instead of carrots in carrot cookies).
